Yosemite Valley after Winter Storm
#1

Drove through a heavy snowstorm to get to Yosemite Valley on Saturday, mandatory tire chains for all vehicles not equipped with snow tires and all wheel Drive. The snow had just stopped as I made it to the first view of Yosemite Valley.

Canon 5DIII, ISO100, F/4, 1/4000, 48mm.

Great photo! I live about an hour from Yosemite, so I know what the weather was like that day and the effort it must of taken to get there. Nice job.

Thank You, I went in through the 41 entrance and managed it without having to chain up, but it was very slow going, coming out was easier as they had plowed more recently.

I'm about 90 minutes south of the park in the Fresno area.

From what I understand from a friend that lives in Oakhurst, Sunday and Monday were much tougher going.

Thank you, I will always take skies like that over the clear blue skies we get in summer.
