...and 2 hillsides...
#1

An incongruous pair, I know: one from Switzerland as we drove back from Italy, one from some Wiltshire fields again(you can guess which is which I reckon!)

#2 is breathtaking

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

I deeply admire what you have done with lines in #1 - everywhere my eye drifts, there are new lines taking me somewhere else - and of course, the horizon and sky dome are the icing on the cake.

#2 jumps right out because of his powerful setting and bold use of color. But I see that there is more there, when I look deeper - the unconventional white balance treatment in particular.

Great combination of shots - they felt mismatched to me at first glance - but they totally tie together style-wise.

Yep I agree.. the lines in #1 are sensational.

Although I do like #2 and applaude your unconventional use of WB and colour, to me it distracts a little. It would be a great photo in b/w and I feel the bold colour pulls the viewer in a bit of a different direction to the subject.
