Just spotted this - Cyberlink are launching a new photo management product called photodirector, which is supposed to sit somewhere between picasa and lightroom in terms of simplicity vs features. It features RAW conversion and also non-destructive editing.

The bonus is that it is currently in beta, and if you submit some feedback to them you will be eligible to get a copy for free, worth $99.

Very interesting; thanks Jules. I like the idea of the little tabs for output to YouTube slideshow; the whole non-destructive stuff reduces a bit of time for those doing bulk. I wonder about it's "higher-end" user ideas, what with red-eye reduction and the like(!)...but nice to have a chance to get the full version by feeding back on the beta. Sadly I don't have SP3 on my XP...and besides I've got a few raw converters already. A neat offer though.
