This morning, I got to uni at 7:10am; before any of the libraries are open,
so I went for a walk with my camera...

I like the second one
Is the border distracting?
I also like the second one, richer colors and the flower is in better condition.
I don't find the border distracting, if anythign it helps isolate the sole bloom even more. Nice work. Now get to the library and study!
I like both of them, including the borders.
I like the composition more in the first one, with the flower not in dead center. I don't mind the flower being slightly past the best-before date, I'm an old fart myself.
And this flower is ageing beautifully.
My favourite is the 2nd one - I like the dead black backgrounds... less distraction and the eye focuses straight on the flower.
They look so real. The background gives them an apparent depth.
