After recently buying a 40mm prime lens, I visited the cafe-bar near the photo shop for lunch. It was too hard to resist using the new toy, hence this shot of one of my drinks, taken hand-held in quite dimly lit surroundings. Shot at f/5.6 (hopefully to get just enough depth of field for the bottle and glass), 1/25s, and ISO 3200; -1 stop of compensation applied to try to avoid burnt highlights; image enhanced in PSP X4. Hopefully, it looks appealing!

Interesting! Makes me want to pour some of the drink and enjoy it! Thanks for sharing info along with your photo! Enjoying it!

A well exposed shot, MrB. Did you take any others with different settings?

Thank you Barbara and Dean - I was hoping that the drink would look appetising.
Dean, I took a few, chimping and using the histogram to get the exposure looking reasonable, then a few with slightly different compositions, mainly to exclude distractions. This is the keeper, due to its gentle back-lighting - coming from an open serving hatch linking the bar with the kitchen.

Great Image. Looks like it was shot with a setup artificial light. I've couldn't have done it.

Thank you, PhotoPlay. Fortunately the ambient lighting was favourable to the shot - there was a wall light just above my table. The high ISO response of the Pentax K-5 to low light is also very good.
