I remember my first guitar. An acoustic cheapo 6 string and kinda just brown.
I stripped it, sanded it down and varnished it. It looked beautiful, but................

The varnish never dried. Played some real sticky music. Must have been old or cheap varnish.

Like photography you gotta start somewhere.
