Spring - Anubis - Jan 4, 2008

I would like to get some opinions on these two photos. This is what I seem to be drawn to when out and about - getting up close and personal with nature! Both are completely untouched and taken with my little Canon Powershot.

Blurry things (or sharp for that matter) crossing in front of your subject is distracting and unprofessional-looking.
I keep little spring-clips in my bag so stray vegetation can be held back out of the way.
Usually makes a big difference.
A knife works, too. Big Grin

Excellent idea! Thank you! I never like breaking things off to get a better shot :/

Spring - Wedding Shooter - Jan 10, 2008

Great idea Keith.

Anubis, you might like to try placing your subject a little more to the left or to the right of the frame. This generally will improve the composition of your shot. It is called the rule of thirds.
