New Forum: Photo Snapshots
#1

Petographer, Irma and Guerito have been busy concocting ideas for new forums, and I'm happy to oblige. Big Grin This new forum is basically for snapshots which may or may not hold photographic merit in your eyes, but you would like to share because of the stories they tell.

I think we can sometimes be too caught up in culling out "bad" photos on a photographic basis that we can sometimes miss the richness of life and stories behind the photos.

Well this particular forum is for those kinds of shots - so if you're posting photos - do give us a bit of a descriptive spiel, and for those appreciating the photos - you can leave your "photo critique hat" at the door. Big Grin

I like this - no pressure to "perform." Like sharing a family or vacation photo album. Prepare to be bored by my mundane posts!

Here is my try - posting a link to pictures I took this last Sunday at Lake Murray, SC, at a boat tie-up party. All these pictures were taken with a Sony W-7 digital camera and most were worked on with Photoshop CS2 for exposure, sharpening, cooling filter, and some artsy effects. It was a humid, hazy day. There were 10-12 pontoons and boats at different times, and the party had food, music and drink. A boatload of batchelor party guys joined our party. One of the guys was getting married, so they were celebrating this weekend.
