Colors of Low Sun in Autumn

With these crude photos I tried to capture the colors of al low sun on leaves--very hard to do. I used a lot of HDR type tricks, sorry.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

No need to apologise, Don: I'm all for any tools at all that work to externailse the inner vision!
#3 is my fave here...how did you get that lovely muted dark effect on the overhanging foliage?

Ta Don; how do you mean: with a separate bit of software like Photomatix, or something within Paint Shop Pro?

I use two programs--an old photo processing program called "photosuite 4" enables me to pick areas of the picture to alteer contrast or beta--and does it gracefully. I make versions of the picture with different exposures and alterations then recombine these in the hdr merge feature of Paintshop Pro 2. I am complimented that you ask.
