Impulsive E Bay Purchase
#1

I missed bidding on a Nikkor 100 mm lens so I settled for a very cheap Albinar 28-80 mm f3.9-4.9 lens even though I did not need it. I have to use it manually, of course. That doesn't deter me much. In practice I found it works pretty well and is about half the weight of my Sigma 18-200 mm lens that I typically carry. Some experimental shots follow:

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

The clarity and resolution of these look quite good. Good purchase I would say...

Everyone says it's a crummy lens. We will see.
