60 Million worth of smuggled camera goods seized in China

If you ever wanted to see what 60 million dollars worth of photo gear looks like - that's
60,204 cameras, 13,623 lenses, 483 flashes, 1,025 video cameras, and 348 projectors - take a peek here.

Apparently they can buy stuff 20-30% cheaper in Hong Kong and then avoid any customs or import tax by smuggling the goods into mainland China and then sell them on the gray market.

I didn't know there was such a big market for just China alone to warrant such a huge shipment in one go... but now you know.
