Spindles
#1

I went to Dallas with some camera friends and we stumbled upon these spindles. These are my pics. I love how despite that we were together our pics are different in style. And YES Smile I know the rule on mixing b&w with color.

I love how these came out! Very nice; interesting and full of character!

I love the last one! It's odd how i really like monochromatic shots and shots with uber vibrant colors. Normal color shots don't really grab my attention as much...

Took a look at your flickr page, nice work!

BrandaeMae: I love the wandering through "nobody cares land." There's much there.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

Oh I like all of these for very different reasons! The close up B&W is so graphic, the last one is so crisp and bright and you can feel the almost industrial desolation in the one where you shot them long against the building. I also enjoyed snooping (can you call it snooping if you have been invited?) around your flickr site. You and I have much in common photographically and it was a pleasure looking at your work.

The colored ones are really great. They have a nice warm and vibrant character.

The 2nd and the 5th are simply stunning, I believe it's because of the contrast between golden tones and the bright blue sky!
