Grass Snake
#1

A close encounter with a late summer basking grass snake; perhaps the last one I will see before they hibernate.

I agree with Ed and Jeff - and it seems to be coming right out of the screen! Confused Smile

Cheers.

I've never seen a snake in the wild. Only in zoos or friends houses.

Lumix LX5.
Canon 350 D.+ 18-55 Kit lens + Tamron 70-300 macro. + Canon 50mm f1.8 + Manfrotto tripod, in bag.

It took me a while to learn where and when to look out for them; but now at the YWT reserve Potteric Carr I see them frequently during summer. I have to go further afield for Adders.

Hi Peter,

A first class shot, very well done. Composition and exposure both excellent.

Regards.

Love this. The snake looks like it is coming out of the photo, so clear and sharp. Beautiful colours, excellent - this cannot be faulted.
