Thanks Mark, not a very inspiring subject but on those days when there seems to be little wildlife about even the gulls become interesting.

These are handsome birds and, as your good photos show, Peter, they make very worthwhile subjects. At the weekend there was a group of about a dozen black-headed gulls flying over nearby water, chasing one with a lump of bread in its beak. The noise they made was horrendous, but their acrobatic skills were quite amazing to watch!
