"The Pagan Street Fair" Video
#1

Life in America

I come
from a calm district;
felt safe in
what I gained
quietly. It came
from hard places
from the outside.
I'm not used to such
freedom as I find here.
Seeing minds
rushing into the past,
learning only from speech and
folklore.
Oh America,
how you frighten me.

Oops - sorry Don - I'll try again

I like the poem. It resonates with my mind, but I'm not sure why. Perhaps that can be the way with poetry and not something that needs to be analysed.
