Moose and sheep - Peter Lougheed Provincial Park Alberta
#1

Spotted a large male moose down an embankment whilst driving - stopped and grabbed the camera... These guys are so quick to take cover and then keep moving so getting any kind of shot is hard - even moreso when the Moose is less than 10yards in front in the trees! A little further on the Rocky Mountain Sheep were gathered on the roadside... generally bunched tight so a whole body shot is mostly cluttered with other bits of other sheep... but I could separate a couple of heads! :-) All taken with Canon 1D Mk4 and Canon eF 300mm 2.8L IS. Handheld. Shot details on the moose - F6.3, 1/50th, ISO 1600, -0.7ev

In photography, the smallest thing can be a great subject. The little human detail can become a leitmotiv.

Another enjoyable collection Rolf. Not as risky as bears.
