Back to Black and White.
#1

This image, captured with my Fuji FinePix S9500, seemed to be asking out for the B&W treatment. The S9500 seems to produce very well defined skies, always a good start for monochrome images.

1/2000 sec. f3.6, ISO 80, Shutter priority.
Taking pictures on the bridge is always fraught, due to the vibration from the heavy traffic, hence the reason I had chosen the high shutter speed. (Picture was actually taken just before I got on to the bridge)

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

John, this took me back over 50 years, as soon as I saw it. Super.

Yours is printed on Kodak Bromesko Paper, Grade 1, developed in Kodak D163.
Here is one I printed on Kodak Bromide Paper, Grade 2, same developer.
Thanks for the memory.
This will mean nothing to virtually all Forum Members!!

Cheers. Ed.

Beautiful. I think the second version is over-sharpened.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

I agree with Don, I prefer the 1st image.

John

Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.
