Tanker Terminal
#1

Still recovering from my surgery, but I am getting a bit more interest in my hobbies. I have been revisiting some of my earlier images and here is one I have struggled with.
It shows Hound Point tanker terminal, in the background, and Braefoot Bay gas terminal nestling beside Aberdour's beautiful golf course.
This was taken in July 2014, from quite a distance away, leading to loss of definition due to haze. Never know how to get round that problem.

Nikon D80, 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, Auto mode, 1/500 sec, f5.6, ISO 100, 202mm lens equivalent. Processed in Lightroom and Nik Software.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

Hi John,
Good to have you around again.
Have you tried the Dehaze function in Lightroom ?. In the ' Develop ' module go to ' Effects ' and at the bottom you will find 'Dehaze '. Give it a try.
Can effect white clipping.
Cheers, Mike.

Dehaze is not available in the standalone version of Lightroom, only in the subscription version. I have Dehaze as a plugin, and I did use a little.
