Bird on a Fence
#1

Nikon D7100 f/7.1 1/800th 270mm ISO100

Took this one this morning whilst shooting flowers, maize fields, and helicopters! Critique welcome.

Paid off, great concept. Ed.

Pity the grass was through the bird.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

Thanks Ed.

Jocko, thanks for the comment, it's appreciated. I took out some grass, but left that strand in purposely. To me it helps connect the bird to the other elements (without any colour the connection between elements need all the help they can get) - but I do appreciate a picture like this isn't going to appeal to all. I would have like to take the darker grass out from the bottom right beneath the fence but my pp skills aren't up to it, I'm afraid.

We each have our own ideas about an image and I accept your reasoning behind the decision to leave that stalk there.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".
