A view of the Cheshire Plain taken today while out and about. A dull and windy day. In the middle of the horizon is a small lump, better known as The Wrekin at Wenlock Edge. 37 miles away.

These three were all taken from/on Leckhampton Hill, Cheltenham on 24/09/16. Camera is Nikon D7100 and lens is an old 18-55 kit.

Devil's Chimney - a unique rock formation that is known locally as the Devil's Chimney. Round these parts we know for sure that he's down below Leckhampton Hill stoking his fires as we speak... f/10 18mm ISO 125 and 1/320th

A Place To Rest - a bench for weary travellers overlooking Cheltenham, and beyond that the Malverns. Detail are as above except now we're at 52mm.

The Sky Above Cheltenham - on top of the hill it's wide open and windswept. There's the remains of an Iron Age Fort up here, and more recently a WW2 radar base was located on top of the hill. Still at f/10 and ISO 125 but now at 26mm ad 1/500th of a second.
