The Leaf.

Not to everyone's taste perhaps, but I found this leaf to be rather attractive. The structure and design is fascinating.

Beautiful image. Perhaps, as it is to all intents and purposes, an abstract, increasing the saturation would have given it even more impact.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

Until I read it was a leaf, I thought it was a cloth bound book. Good eye!

Thanks John and Craig.
I had pondered long and hard about an increase in saturation and in the end decided to keep the colour as seen. Now I ponder once again. Here it is with an increase in saturation.

Would be interested in any suggestions.

Glad you like it John. I now agree that the increased saturation improves it.

Must confess I'm not a fan of the abstract. About once a term we have an abstract session at class and I'm yet to be inspired. That said, this is rather lovely. The composition and placement of lines is spot on. Well done. I'd like to see a mono version.
