Kitesurfing
#1

I went to the beach last weekend to use up the end of a film I had and decided to try my hand at sports photography!! There were a bunch of kitesurfers which looked like a good subject.

When I got the film back it was a bit of a dissapointment. How do you get the kite and surfer in the same frame and make the surfer big enough to see? Or do you not?

Any tips would be excellent ;-)

Cheers,
Dave

The kite is very big compared to the surfer, and every high.
If you want to include the whole kite (very large and high up) and the surfer, in the same frame, the surfer will look very small. One way I can think of having the surfer and the kite in the same frame and have the surfer big is if you use a wide angle lens very very close to the surfer, which would also be very difficult.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a solution, if you want close up detail, your going to get either the kite or the surfer. Here are a few of my attempts at the same thing.

Now while I could get in slightly tighter on these ones, there wouldn't be significant improvement in them.
