Does anyone here like shooting birds?
I try; borrow Peter's 90-300mm lens and try to shoot some birds.
Here are a few I've shot since last week
#2
#3
#4
#5
This is looking up a tree
#6
Still looking up the tree
#7
This bird is cool at hopping
#8
#9
#10
An awkward looking bird
#11
Another rare species
Sorry, I've removed #1, it was very out of focus
I've got some more I haven't processed yet; will post them when I'm done
Please criticise! and feel free to share yours too
For the flying pictures, I tried to pan with the bird and learnt that using higher ISO is helpful Please share some tips

too much trouble changing lenses usually ...
ok .. no colourful birds here .. but too lazy right now to find more interesting bird pics i took a while ago ...

Here's a neat little woodpecker I shot today...
These are cropped straight out of the full-size photo... no resizing.
I have some duck shots around here somewhere too... *goes a-searchin'*
Here's a cute little ducky...

adam Wrote:Your ducks there have fur, ours have feathers!!! ahhh! cool! That's just a wee duckling so his feathers are kinda weird... does look like fur though doesn't it!
When she's all growed up, she'll look like this:
If it's a female, that is... don't have a photo of the male...

Ahhh! Still very nice looking!
We had many baby ducklings running around uni last year!
They were all fluffy like that, following big mother duck (feathered)
I didn't get to take any pictures though, didn't have my good camera back then
