Starling / Sturnus vulgaris
#1

Sometimes we see these starling birds around Feb / March, near our balkony. They're quiet fancy, here is an example, Enjoy!

Thanx Pat, I think these birds also exist in Australia.

They are very common in the UK, all through Summer.

Very beautiful picture and bird. I haven't seen them around here, but I think I saw them once in the wildpark. The colors are gorgeous... Smile

Nice detail & colour in the feathers Janika.
I think these are considered pests here in Aus. as they make life hard for the native birds, and damage fruit crops.

Yes, they always roam by the hundreds, but still pretty when looking at them from close. Thanx for looking!

Amazing details and colours. Stangely Starlings are becoming threatened here in the UK. I cultivate (is that the right word?) a flock here in my back garden. They are very cheeky and make an amazing range of sounds. In different places they make different noises. Apparently those that live near the coast can make seagull noises!!
