Parade in Eutin.
#1

We visited the Circle of Arts in Eutin last weekend. After our meeting we went to the Plaza to have dinner. There was an event going on. A parade of all the athletes from the police that would compete in a triathlon next day. I took some pictures.

This is the team of the state I live and the the host of this competition.

During the speach I found this reflection.

I found very sweet these girls with Dad following Mami that was part of the team... Smile

I found very difficult at the beginning how to take pictures in this kind of events... specially when they were marching, so I focused in the person with the sign leaving the rest in the background and a bit blurred.

This look so civilized and youthful. I fall off my chair.

Thanks Don. It was very beautiful...

Unfortunately, my friends from Eutin just gave me some very sad news... Sad

One of the athlets from the Hamburg team had an accident while riding his bike, and died. The triathlon was canceled. The news have been going on Monday and today about this tragedy, but I didn't know anything before I post them....

It is very sad, and I feel a bit bad showing this pictures now, when everyone was happy.... but I think that they are, somehow, part of the story.

Shyness Coming of Age
Don Schaeffer

I think civilization is amazing.
Especially when I sit here,
look into your eyes and see

only the darkest mystery.
Why can't I bring myself to assume
that you are just like me. I spent

a lifetime moving about in a forest
of things I supposed we have in common.
I'm still astonished how we pass each other in peace,

that you are tame. Now I am preparing
for the long, private time in which everything
belongs to me.
