Great line-up, I note these lenses are all manual focus primes, are they so much better than the Canon primes? As a very humble amateur I prefer a Canon prime rather than the zooms. Would be interested in knowing why you chose these lenses :/

Cheers,

Well 1st being canons primes doesnt work on my Nikon gear. Wink

second beingt they deliver IQ that to me justify the change, but also the pure joy and feeling working with these surpass anything iv used from Nikon.

They do render images diffrently then Nikkors, colors are more accurate, and highlights and transition areas as smoother.

But i hardly think its worth for most people to give up af, but for my studio work and portraits i really prefer Manual focus now. Keep in mind manual focus with a af lens isnt even close to be as precise, since they are high geared for fast af performance so they are very unprecise compared to lenses buildt for manual focus.

I bought one lens and fell in love in the IQ,build, quality and handling
Also made me think alot more before i take the shot. With Katz eye focus screen its alot easier to MF.

But offcourse i dont shoot sport or any fast paced action apart from the kids. :-)

Ill get som af glas later on when i feel the need for it, but for now im quite content with the Zeiss lineup (plus my Nikkor 85mm/2,8 PC)

If you want more info why i like them you could look here

Thanx for looking.

Nice photographs of the nice lenses!

So it's all manual focus primes now? At least this way you get full control.

Great
