Don, I tried to locate the previous image. I remeber it but could not find it. It would be nice if you posted the two together. Also, you had something in mind when you decided to modify the photo. It is more enjoyable to look at the reposted photo if one knows why it was modified. Pavel

Sorry Pavel. Thanks for commenting. I modified it for two reasons. I got blasted for the first version because of the clumsy cloning. So I didn't use as much cloning on this. Second I wanted topost this in a stock suite and I had to eliminate the trade name on the sign or they wouldn't take it.

Thanks Don for the explanation and for including original image. I like Mom and Pop modification. I still like this photo a lot. I like the slightly surreal feel to the photo and how the shop leaps out from the image, which is effectively monochromatic. I prefer some of your original instincts. I liked the original crop, except the sliver of trafic lights, which I would crop or clone out. I agree that the cloning of the lamppost could be improved, but at the same time your idea of removing it works. I prefer leaving the sliver of the road in, because otherwise the photo is jammed too hard into the left bottom corner. I think in your original post the left wall of the store was parallel with the left edge of the frame, but it is not quite parallel any more. Don, I hope you do not mind my commenting. These are just opinions. Use those you like and ignore the rest. Pavel

Pavel. I do think this picture is worth fooling with. Your opinion is very helpful.
