Well, this is him in retirement. This photo is especially for those, who think that I don't do color.

I love what you diod with the color. The irridescent green is a turn on.
Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

Welcome to the birth of NEW Gary (NOW he does colours) . Nice bird colours, sharp(ish), good composition, (slight greenish overcast - see off-white belly), nice DOF, although possible faked in PS (uneven DOF on left, right), halo around the bird testifies to postprocessing. I have to get a T-shirt with the same irridiscent green. It would go well with fluorescent orange shorts. I really like the photo - for some reason, I find it funny - dont know why. The bird strikes a very interesting pose - I think that is what makes the photo funny. NBC would be proud of such a turkey (sorry, peacock). Sorry Gary - I like this photo, even though the grass is a little wierd and the post-processing a little too evident. Pavel.
PS I hope to see more such turkeys from you Please see my photos at http://mullerpavel.smugmug.com (fewer, better image quality, not updated lately) or at http://www.flickr.com/photos/pavel_photophile2008/ (all photos)

Thanks Pavel. I made the halo on purpose. (It's a long story.) But I don't think it achieves my purpose, which to further emphasize the subject. The DOF is as shot. (Surprisingly, 200 mm, f 11, 1/200 sec.)
