These are very good, especilly with the movement you gave them through your use of long exposure time.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

I think you've outdone yourself with these!

Ta very much;
Actually these were handheld and I didn't feel safe enough to overdo the aperture/speed compromise, despite the wide angles: shutter speeds were no slower than 1/60, enough to "froth" the sea but not introduce shake. The suggestion of movement other than this is actually pp work(same goes for the first lot) ...a bit of layered diffusion to soften the whites and thus give the impression of "movement" to white edges. This technique also has the beneficial effect of cancelling out any artificiality I may've introduced via smart-sharpening.
I deliberately use this technique in conjunction with dodging in colour highlights: the ensuing softness and the, er, preternatural glow, combine well to give a slight ethereal, painterly quality to the shots...in my opinion, that is.
That might explain the natural reaction of some to say that, ooh, I know there's something a little odd about these but I don't know what it is.
My little trademark, I suppose, and I try to wrestle things as much as I can from being too glaringly choccy-boxy.
