Experimenting with my new camera - Fogo Island
#1

I am still experimenting (playing!) with my new camera, and have discovered that even fence posts and weeds can be interesting to look at... or perhaps it's just me, I don't know.

What! A dead dandelion you say? Yup, I have one of those too! Or maybe I should just stick to my usual subject matter?
Anyway, here's a few from yesterday.

I should add that these are not meant to be wall hangers; just trying out different settings, testing clarity/sharpness, etc. For instance in the dandelion shot, I was amazed it turned out virtually noise-free, not to mention sharper than the kit lens is supposedly capable of. I'm STILL waiting for my vintage Minolta Maxxum lenses to arrive by mail! I'm anxious to compare them to this kit lens.

The third photo is very beautiful - love the way you have captured the softness while keeping it sharp.

Canon stuff.
