Very nice Jer. I really like the sepia effect. Which method did you use for these conversions?

Thanks Toad!
Mitch, I am using fredmiranda's action "B&W Workflow Pro" for the sepia effect. Its actually a b&w filter set to quadtone (blue, purple, greeb, black). Jerry. Nos an modica tantum nostri somnium "We are limited only by our imagination"

Excellent Jerry. I really like the tones in #2. You have a touch of black border fade that dds very nicely to the image. What process did you use on that image?

That is fred action again, using b&w workflow pro. It was a bit pricey but i really like the effects of the quadtone.
as far as the border goes, you are correct, I added some black around the edges. I also used Mitch's soft focus lens effect and then sharpened a bit. Do you want the action/process for the black edge effect? Jerry Nos an modica tantum nostri somnium "We are limited only by our imagination"

jericho Wrote:Do you want the action/process for the black edge effect? Yes please I'll try. I have Filters unlimited which has a border fade filter. An action would also be nice.

The one I use is a very simple vignette:
Press Ctrl+A, (Select all), Then Select-->Modify-->Border. I can't remember the number of pixels I used.. Experiment. On a full resolution image, probably 50-200. Most often I use 200. Then you'll want to feather it quite a bit. Select-->Feather, Go at least half of your border. If you did 100 pixels on the border, go at least 50 pixels on the feather, or more, depending on how you like it. Then fill it with black. Press "D" to reset your colors to B&W, and then Alt+backspace to fill in. Volia. You can also use the paint bucket tool if that's easier for you. Let me know if that works for you. I have never sent an action to anyone before but don't think its all that hard. I have created a lot to simplify processes, but never emailed one.
I'll get on this and get back to you. J Nos an modica tantum nostri somnium "We are limited only by our imagination"
