Purplish Flower

Took this one at F8, so had to blur out the background in Photoshop. Big Grin

Just out of curiousity, why did you shoot it at f/8, then blur the background, instead of shooting it at a larger aperture?
Is it something to do with the lenses being sharpest when closed down 2 stops from wide open?

Hahah... I was doing an evening walk with my wife... had to quickly take a snapshot and catch up otherwise she'd be gone Smile

I like your explanation though.. Smile

It could use a little saturation. The color is too subtle for me.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

Great job on the blur. Looks very natural. Almost f2.8 ish... Wink
