No just Photo Shop. I adjusted curves to make the brighter parts dimmer than the middle brightness areas. It's a kind of solarizing.

I see what you are doing but the white spot in front of the subject's face disturbs me. I realize that it is needed to reveal his face - maybe try lightening or putting a different color treatment on the wall instead?? I also don't like the fringing at the top of the wall much.

I like this photo though - these are details that can easily be adjusted. Nice work.
