Spaceship in Perth
#1

I was wandering around when I finally realised what the 'belltower' was...!
It's a secret base for aliens wanting to go home!

Wow, do you have some more photos?

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm
not sure about the former.

Yes, a few from different angles, with some aliens around it.
I hope to go back there and reshoot and improve those other angles.
and maybe get those aliens to pose.
And then I'll take a photograph of the launch.

Kind of looks like a giant laser gun. Maybe it's aimed at some kind of reflector in space to bounce the beam back at a target on earth. Big Grin

Sit, stay, ok, hold it! Awww, no drooling! :O

How did you make the animated photo? Amazing.

This is a great architectural photo. I love the lines of the building and the perfect symmetry of the composition.

Hi Don, I made the animation in Adobe Imageready.
First in photoshop I painted each colour on seperate layers, then I used the animation palette in imageready to sequentially show and hide each of these layers. I then set the timing of each frame, click the "optimise animation" button and then saved it Smile

Thank you for the comments. Big Grin
Lately I've been spotting a lot of symmetry in things, different to how I'd normally see things.

Great job Adam!

I reckon the belltower would be a tough subject to shoot and still get an original-looking shot (for a local who's seen a million other belltower photos anyway).

But you have certainly done a great job. It looks great and is a very fresh and original take on it. Well done. The animated GIF is also hilarous!

On an unrelated but coincidental note, I was out shooting on the weekend and took a shot that is completely different, yet shares elements in common with this shot of yours to the point where it looks like they might be two shots in the same series, and would definately compliment each other if seen hanging on a wall together.
I won't hijack this thread by posting it here, but I just thought it was interesting. You'll know it when you see it... (and for the record, I didn't see your photo until Monday but took my shot on Sunday).

Hehe, thanks for the comments! Smile
Kombi - maybe all Perth-dwellers have finally come to realise that most of the structures are in fact alien space-ships! hahaha

I also took that shot on Sunday! oooo! Alien-sunday!
