Hi guys/gals! how you been ?



Thought i show some recent shot of my wife Sofia.

I do realize i really need to work on my portrait skills.

its a start though :-)

Havent got my background yet, so i have a curtain as a temp solution :-)

Very nice series Paul... I like the first one... I like the soft curves made by her arms.Her expression in this one is more relaxed. There is more interaction in this picture, I think, becase she is watching at me and her eyes are talking to me Smile

Thnx Guys!

Wife was a bit uncomfortable to be put on the spot :-) but shell get used to it :-)

I like the first one best aswell Irma. But i couldnt explain it quite aswell as you did :-)

Nice one Paul,

I'll back up what both Peto and Irma said.

I also like the first shot the best because of Sofia's expression and the way she has her arms... but there are elements I really like about the 3rd shot which give it more depth and appear less flat - such as the angle, the shallow DOF but mostly the shadows I think. All the shots have lovely light on Sofia's eyes and bring out the smoothness of her skin though.

Personally I also feel really uncomfortable when having my photo taken, so I can understand her apprehension and have nothing but admiration for relaxed natural subjects. But... I guess it is just a case of becoming more relaxed as you do more of it. hehe.. at least that gives you a good excuse to keep shooting her anyway Wink
