This picture was taken on Salt Spring island this weekend of my girlfriend. We took a short walk on the rocky beach as the sun was setting.
However i'm not ENTIRELY happy with the image. Before I do print it however (she LOVES this shot) I wanted to work on cropping it somewhat, but I don't know where to start. I personally think there is too much sky (cloud) above, and there is too much of a gap on her LEFT side. Feedback is grealy appreciated!
edit notes: RAW Image, unsharpen mask, neat image, border stroke.

Actually now that I looked at the original more, I noticed in the JPEG conversion that a LOT of color was lost. In the RAW image when opened in PS, the sky has a LOT of orange in it, which is totally lost in this image. I'll work with PS more to get a more representation of what the sky really looked like.

I love it, I can see why your g/f wants it printed. I love the colour of the water, its beautiful.
Personally, I would crop something like this (hope you don't mind, I can take this down if you want)
but thats just me...

I do think there is a little to much sky, but on the flip side I think remocing any of it will destroy the composition.
If you can rework the sky and get some of the orange back into it I think you will not notice so much of the negative space.

The picture now looks unnatural... Attack of the 50 foot woman anyone?
Prefer the original even with the merging of head and horizon.

Thanks everyone for their comments and input!
byrt_001: I wish she had those long legs But yes I see what you mean about head and the horizon! I'll keep that in mind for next time.
I've really gotta play with the image in photoshop. I find that when I save it, there is color loss in the JPG. How do I stop this from happening? Is there a specific way I should be saving it as in PS? The original RAW looks amazing, because of the color of the sky, it is almost all gone in this image.

The color looks processed (that's not a bad thing). Did you use curves to invert brightness?
