English Trees
#1

As Rufus said to StudioJ, in Peted's panorama thread

"We have trees too"

..... and to prove it, here's a shot of some of the landscape just up the road from where I live.

So there! Tongue

I should be so lucky! Sad Big Grin

The location is a small village (Groombridge) about 3 miles from home. The Raptor centre, where I took the shot of the Bengalese Eagle Owl, is a few yds futher up the hill just off the right side of the landscape image.

Here's a snap of my town.

As you can see, there are no trees in sight. Rolleyes

Thank you. Big Grin

It's a favourite spot - it's not often the lighting is good for a few shots.

Nope, but you have some very nice, large sprouts and cabbages growing along the roadside. Big Grin

Here's another place with no trees - just a peasant's pleasant cottage on England's green and pleasant land.

Hi there Polly, nice to meet you!
Is that the raptor centre in the Southwest(as was, birds of prey centre that moved from Newent in Glos?)
I see we're all defending our green and pleasant land guys
(we'll have to show 'im the sequoias at the National Arboretum in Glos)

Hi there Zig. Smile

This particular Raptor Centre is in the South EAST - on the boundary of West Kent and East Sussex.

Here's a link

Zig......I didn't know they'd left Newent. When, (and where), did they go?

Noodle: mm...5 years ago? I think they went to Exmoor/ Exeter way. Next time you and Rufus come over, we'll have a look atthe big buzzardy-kitey bird things on the hills round C.Zig. Sounds like bloody Mordor up there to be honest.
Ah Pol, Tunbridge Wells; my dad's family comes from there!
