It was around 10AM, but they were in the shade of a row of fir trees.

I think what happen was that the camera meter was fool by the refection of the bayonet of the soldiers.

also i think there is way too much tent where i think there should be more of the soldiers uniforms.

maybe something like this:





im not very sure of the colours as im still have my rented monitor

You've washed the colors out. I also prefer my pictures in a 3:2 ration. While I agree on the amounbt of tent, I left most of it in because I wanted more of the flag in the picture.

The meter was off because the roof of the tent had 2 large patches of sunlight on it. Original shot below.

yeah..uuhmmm i have been playing with the gamma setting to control the out of focus on the sreen. but it looks like the colours are out now. uuhmmm you photo in my screen looks very black.

i have to set this monitor a bit better....thanks for letting me know

The original is pretty dark.
