When I looked really closely, I saw the tiny chairlifts on the side where it wasn't as steep. The snow conditions weren't very good and the resort at the base of the mountain was not full.

The noise actually looks good on this photo. Makes it more like a photo-journalist shot. Must be cold up there?!

Well it hasn't been bad this year. Temperatures are several degrees above average and we haven't had any severe cold (-30). February usually means a brief thaw just in time to melt the snow sculptures at our Festival D'Voyageur.
