Well it's certainly different! The lobster look!
Sorry couldn't resist. I like the color of the shirt and the contrast with the monochrome background, but I'm a sucker for natural skin tones...

Hey Pete.. Congrats to your son... what sport was it?
Interesting colouring in this pic. Like G, I think the sepia background and saturated shirt work, but I was a bit taken aback by the skin-tones. I'm just not quite sure what to make of it. If he wasn't your son then I'd be tempted to photoshop some horns, pointy ears and a pitchfork in there! Actually now I think about it, you're his father - maybe that was the look you were after all along! Hey pete, I have to agree with Adrian and G. Too red.

He is sunburnt a bit but looking again I agree that the colour is a bit OTT..

Congrats to your son Pete
Have you tried to make it B&W or sepia... I think it is a nice candidate for one of these treatments... A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art. Paul Cezanne

Hi Irma,
Thats what I have done with the background, I was trying to do something different and do the old half and half treatment. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. Albert Einstein
