I participate in a weekly Photoblog Scavenger Hunt at Brookston's Scavenger Hunt
This week's item is 'Clover' with extra points for a four-leaf clover in the wild.
Because it hasn't rained all winter the normal springtime wildflowers are scarce, as is green grass and clover, so even finding a patch to photograph has been difficult.
An hour spent in a local park didn't produce any interesting results since clover isn't a very good subject even when it's healthy, and the stuff around here is weak and sad-looking.
As a last resort I went into my backyard to see if any has sprouted since the last time I checked.
There were three or 4 tiny patches, one of which contained the only fourleaf clover I have ever seen in the wild.
Today was my lucky day.
(I just got home from buying Lottery tickets.)
