Hi Everyone,
Got to go to Whiteman Park on Monday and grabbed a few pictures while I was there.
1) My son on the train (he is a big Thomas fan)
2) My daughter on the same train
3) Birds of Prey Exhibition (haven't fixed the vignetting yet)
4) Birds of Prey Exhibition Part II
Cheers,
Chris

Beautiful portraits of your children... lovely smile of your daughter
Splendid timing on the bird pictures...

Very nice!
I think the vignetting on the bird photo looks nice - taken with the 5D?

Hi Everyone,
Thanks all for the positive comments.
Adam - yes all were taken with the 5D.
The two bird shots were the 5D + Sigma 1.4 Teleconverter + Canon 70-200 2.8 L IS lens at f4 (widest aperture with the teleconverter on board) + 580EX flash (I think, without checking the exif - at least I was using it on some of the shots). The main problem being quite strong backlighting. Used spot metering and AI Servo autofocus. I am also pretty sure I had the flash backed off about a stop.
The shots on the train were taken with the 5D and 24-70 2.8 L lens + 580EX flash. Man I love that lens - it never ceases to amaze me. They will pry that from my cold, dead hands It is the perfect combination with the 5D.
J- I must do that, I live in Caversham. PM me your phone number and I will give you a call. We can have a look at each other's work.
I keep missing the meet-ups you guys organise in Perth on Saturdays because of weddings
Cheers,
Chris

Gorgeous photos of your kids there Chris
But that first bird shot blew me away with its uniqueness and clarity. Judging by the vignetting it also seems like it isn't cropped at all. A wonderful capture.

Thanks Adrian - yes, that is full frame with no cropping. He got pretty close - which made it easier.

Great shots Chris...
Love the portraits of your children - very candid and nice as usual. The birds of prey are fantastic - I love the midair captures...
