Out photographing some of my roses yesterday.
I was trying to pay attention to composition and bothh of these printed up nicely.
However ....what do you guys think

Gosh ..... hello Pops! How very nice to see you in here! Big Grin

Nice roses, as usual too. I'd say there are a few blown highlights on the first one and the focus point seems to be a tad more on the leaf (left side) than on the 'leading rose'.

Second shot of the bud - I'd have liked the bud and petals to be slightly sharper and maybe reduce the yellow tones.

Hi Pops,

The leaves in the bottom left corner are distracting to the beauty of the rose to my eye. The second one is quite pleasing in it's composition - the central positioning maybe slightly improved by a square crop.

There is something on the bud, just out of focus,like a greenfly or dandelion seed that distracts my eye, Pops.
But of the two it is the one that I prefer.

Lumix LX5.
Canon 350 D.+ 18-55 Kit lens + Tamron 70-300 macro. + Canon 50mm f1.8 + Manfrotto tripod, in bag.
