Sweet picture, the color of the horses is beautiful... Is it any special breed? I see their tail a bit short and so contrasting colors in the tail and mane.

Irma they are Belgian Draft horses. They are huge. Used to haul heavy loads or to plow the fields. Their foot is 3x's bigger than a normal horse.

I don't know for sure but I am guessing that their tails are cut or bred to keep them from getting caught on wagon or plowing equipment.( Just a guess)
