...since this is a photography site, maybe I'll upload a photo
This was taken with my Panasonic FZ10 with the front lens from a spotting scope in front like a close-up filter.

Wow... lots of detail... but not very appealing detail...
The blue iris(?) is interesting though..

LOL...I'm more of a Molson kinda guy.
I must have been a bit behind on sleep when I took it.
Thanks for the comments.

What the heck do you think you're looking at Trevor? *grin*
I have to agree with him though pappy, although you Canadian's don't know how to make real beer anyway.
How about a close up on your iris Trevor?

I'll have to try some Fosters some time
I'll try that iris close-up, but I think it'll be pretty hard (this one was hard enough )

God no! Don't try Fosters, that is even worse than American beer. Or as we call it down here "sex in a canoe beer" however I can't give you the answer to that one, if you need to know you can always PM me lol

Mmmm good Australian beer, there are so many, my favourites though...
Cascade (great on tap!)
Hahn Premium
Boags
XXXX Gold (another one on tap only, horrible otherwise)
Redback (wheat beer)
Small Creatures Pale Ale (local brewery)
Having said that I'm not a big beer fan to begin with but I know what I like.
A lot of the beer you get as an export is crud to begin with, its like Canadian Club, its popular down here believe it or not.

Demeaning Canadian beer???? No doubt you have only had Molson's and Labatt's (still miles better than US beer). We have hundreds of small-run micro breweries here now that stand up against everything else easily.
Having said that nasty comment on US beer, even they have "some" decent beers now. Shiner Boch out of Texas is great. Henry's brewery from the Northwest is good. For a good all-around beer that you can order in a bar anywhere - Sam Addams (Brewer and Patriot) is quite drinkable. Let us pray that the days of Miller, Bud, and (shudder) Bud-lite and Miller-lite are ending.

Hey there are some great beers but most of them are smaller and less well known, its the commercialisation and mass marketing that kills a lot of them I reckon.
Sam Addams is yummy, so is that other one Sierra something? Been a long while. I was just generalising and trying to stir up you Canadians

You know, it's not polite to stare!

Although I think Joy's eyes are much prettier...
I like taking pictures of eyes, they're so intricate and yet not appreciated as art all that often, you know what I mean?

Cool pics Matt. Did you use any kind of special lighting? I just used the built in flash of my fz10 and I got that dark shadow below my eyebrow. somebody suggested a ring flash or maybe a lamp to light the eye evenly.
*changes subject back to beer!*
I heard that Molson was bought out by Coors ( :x NOOOO!)
Oh well. I've been sticking with Alexander Keith's for a while. (Good beer from Nova Scotia)

Well you know what they say.. "the eyes have it" or is that "ayes" *shrugs*
Very funky eyes, this is one I edited up of myself last year sometime (don't ask how I did it, I was just playing).

-matt- Really love the second one, the reflections in the eyeball really give it the 'Artisitic Touch' =)
