I was trying to get some perspective with the first shot, if the sky clears tonight I am going to try for a longer exposure and see if I can improve the tail definition and keep that sky, ground, comet perspective but the weather is not looking to good at this stage.

i like the first one . Good job on these Pete.
........ Shawn Canon 20d and a few cheap lenses .. It is our job as photographers to show people what they saw but didnt realize they saw it ......

That is just awesome Pete... I'm mighty glad you were able to get shots of it.
I agree regarding the first one - it's a stunner.
