That's what I saw. Thanks Toad

This is for me a dangerous place.

I rode my bike out the very North Eastern edge of the city.
In Winnipeg, that means the beginning of endless wilderness,
on a single lane road surrounded by fast moving trucks.

It was cold at the northern edge of Summer
with a gusty head wind and no encouraging
breaks in the clouds.
I kept glancing at the cracks in the old
paving and the big ditch a few feet to my right.
When I got the corner at the edge of the planet,
i dismounted and locked my bike to a sign that said
stop.

Then I walked a quarter mile on a gravel trail
introduced to me as Danger no through...
until I found this. I felt like Amundsden or
Cartier.
