5,000,000 gallon water resevoir
#1

It's not everyday that you get to see the inside of the city's water resevoir. Here's a 3 photo pano from above ground and a couple from below.

The only reason you can see anything is because of photoshop.

This shot is taken from the end of the resevoir where we had the light on. As you can see, you cannot see anything beyond the second pillar.

This is a shot of our feild supervisor. We had to send a camera into the main for inspection.

Quote:~OFFICIAL NOTICE~

Due to maintainance required on the resevoir and the resulting water shortage, no bathing,
showering, or laundering is permitted for seven days following the completion of the
maintainance work. Social encounters are not recommended during this period.

Thank you for your patience.

btw, is it just me, or does it just look like an underground parking garage?

There's no water because the reservoir was re-lined. There was a significant leak. It does kind of resemble a parking garage. I suppose the structure would be similar on top to support the concrete roof. You couldn't walk down the slope as it is very steep and slippery. It would be a long ride down.
Just another point, the city of Chilliwack B.C. where this reservoir is, places 5th in North America for the best water.
