Sigma 70-300mm DG APO, settings, 150mm, F5.6, ISO 400. Here is another one, he lost his head but it shows the colours underneath.

Great sharpness and colour Pete. I've found birds very challenging to shoot and haven't had much success.
I'm not sure if the second shot is his best angle though.

I have the 70-200mm Sigma but the 70-300mm is much nicer. The smaller one is okay but the APO and 300mm and macro is a nice package.

They are turkey's alright, chase the Friarbirds out of the garden and very noisy with it.
