Suitable Gimble head for 400mm f2.8
#1

Following on from my previous request for a bag for my beast of a lens (400mm f2.8) does anyone have experience of a good gimbal head such as a Wimberley or Mongoose or could I save some money by going for something like a movo or benro head for less than half the money?

I would appreciate any views or experience of gimbal heads

Cheers
John

I purchased a Wimberley gimbol for my 400mm, which has been excellent, very stable head. I also purchased a Lowepro 600AW backpack, which can be packed with the camera and lens attached, this bag could have been made for this lens.

Thank you PixTill that sounds very positive and re-assuring. I will investigate further

Hi John, if you haven't purchased one yet, I recently bought a Movo GH800 and it works fine for my rig. D7100/W/ Battery Grip/200-500mm Nikon zoom/14E II teleconverter. It's so easy to setup, I just keep it in the original box and put it together in the field. I have a Dolica LX600 Tripod/Monopod.
